Airport 101 – The Beginners Course

The International Association of Airport Executives Canada (IAAE Canada) is pleased to present two day Training Program for Airport entry level employees who are not familiar with airport operations and management. This course will be held at the Airport site.

Course Outline:

This course is designed to introduce entry level employees which includes Board members and other interested parties to aviation history, airport organization, ownership, Airport Activities –Airline, general aviation, business aviation, Customs, Immigration, NAV CANADA (FSS, ATC if located), Law Enforcement, Health agency, TSB during accident investigation, stakeholder responsibilities, airside operations & maintenance, safety management system, security program, legal affairs, corporate services – admin & finance, and environment program.

Upon successful completion of this course, entry-level employees will be comfortable to continue their duties and responsibilities at their respective positions. As well, they will be qualified to undertake any specific functional area courses (specialty ) for career advancement.

This two day course will also include a workshop, course evaluation, guest lecturers from TC, and Host Airport manager followed by Airport Tour.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

IAAE Canada reserves the right to reschedule any program if the number of registrants is insufficient. In this event, we will notify all registrants and refund the registration fee in full. However, any costs incurred by the registrant, such as hotel cancellation or airline penalties, are the responsibility of the registrant. Registrations are transferable. Cancellations are accepted up to one month before the course date, no-shows will be subject to course fees and a fifty-dollar ($50.00) administration fee.
