Association Update The Accreditation Committee would like to announce to the world that last week Ms Karen King, Airport Manager Inuvik Airport, achieved her Accredited Airport Executive she is now an AAE. She did it partly by writing a paper on 'Key Differences in Operating an Arctic Airport' which is now available for reading by memebers on the Forum. Congratulations Karen.
At the same time Currie Russell of Waterloo Airport & Kevin Muise of Fort McMurray Airport both earned their Certified Member status and are now entitled to use the CM designation. Congratulations too. Seems its one conference after another this time of year. We spent last week at SWIFT in Calgary, they reminded us next year for them in Montreal will be an equipment year. A conference to perhaps see your next snowplows or brooms or anything mechanical that an Airport uses. Next month we know AMCO is holding it's 2011 conference and then November it's Saskatchewan. If you know of others we don't please let us know so we can put out the details. We are still happy to hear from anybody who has illustrations or images that will make our online Airport 101 come to life better. We are happy to attribute the picture to you.
