Debra Ward Joins InterVISTAS Consulting Inc. in Ottawa
InterVISTAS Consulting Inc. is pleased to announce that Debra Ward has joined the firm as an Executive Consultant in the Ottawa office.
Debra, a recipient of a 2003 National Transportation Week Award of Achievement, is an Ottawa consultant and former president of the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, who served as the Independent Transition Observer on Airline Restructuring for the federal Minister of Transport between 2000 and 2002.
“Debra is well known in Ottawa and in the tourism and aviation communities, with over 25 years experience in communications, government relations and policy,” said Gerry Bruno, CEO of InterVISTAS Consulting Group. “Debra will support and enhance our ability to respond to our Ottawa-based clients’ needs, and also help to identify new opportunities and areas of strategic growth”.
As an independent consultant, Debra has worked with Transport Canada; the Auditor General of Canada; the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency; the Canadian Airports Council, the Atlantic Canada Airports Association, the Canadian Tourism Commission and ICTS Europe among others. She has written and presented papers to numerous organizations including the World Tourism Organization, Canadian Transportation Research Institute, Canada West Foundation, and the Van Horne Institute and also contributes commentary and articles to a variety of media.
