The Ottawa 2016 Aviation Unconference - Fresh Thinking Starts Here!

What’s on the agenda?
The unconference begins with a leadership panel of airport CEOs, followed by sessions covering Airport Day of Flight Operations, Aircraft Servicing That Affects Airport Operations, Customer Service and Automation, Baggage Handling, The Airport as a Responsible Neighbor, and Human Resources. But, with the unconference format, delegates themselves, with the aid of a trained facilitator, will determine the scope of the individual breakout discussions for each topic.

Association Update

Student Member at FOAM Conference
Colton Cumberland, Aviation Management Student, Georgian College was this year's Student Member winner to attend FOAM. We are pleased to report Colton's enjoyment, education and opportunities at the conference:

The IAAE FOAM Conference was an amazing opportunity to help grow my aviation portfolio and aid in my personal professional development. The conferences daily sessions were packed with respected industry members providing highly valuable information and insights towards what's affecting the industry now and what direction the industry is looking towards. It was also rewarding to be able to connect and speak with the fellow industry delegates attending the conferencing and also gain their valued prospective on related industry topics. The Trade Show also provided a valuable experience in itself as it allowed me to explore what new technologies are up and coming and what's going to be helping to shape the industry further. I look forward to applying what I have learned during this conference in my future career within the aviation industry and to attending the conference again in the future.

One last thing. I would also once again like to said my regards, thanks and gratitude to yourself and the IAAE for sponsoring me this year. It was an absolute pleasure to attend and assist you in the day of logistics of the show. I look forward to attending future conferences and applying the knowledge I gained from this one into my studies and future work aspects.
