Association UpdatePlease join us in welcoming the following New Student Members to IAAE Canada this month: Courtney Brown, Student - Aviation Management, Georgian College. Courtney is a second year Aviation Management student at Georgian College in Barrie, ON. Since she was 8 years old, Courtney has had a passion for aviation after her first flight with girl guides. After that, she joined the Air Cadet program in 2006. Within the 6 years of being a part of the Air Cadet program, Courtney took summer courses such as Basic Aviation, and Introduction to Leadership. She has had the opportunity to teach Basic, and Advanced Aviation to cadets in the following years, and took many years of ground school sessions. Once Courtney finishes her schooling at Georgian, she plans to take another year or two to further her education in aviation, as well as maintain a higher degree to go through ROTP in hopes of becoming an Aerospace Controller for the Canadian Air Force. She has had this career choice set out from the age of 13, and has not strayed from it. She is determined in this goal and positive she will achieve it. Away from aviation, Courtney enjoys to sketch, play volleyball, and watch movies. Rosa Choi, Student - Aviation Management, Georgian College. Rosa is currently studying Aviation Management at Georgian College in Barrie, ON. She was enrolled in Air Cadets for a year and in 2012, she took part int the Aeronca Project which is offered through Air Cadets by the Aeronca Aircraft Project Committee to learn the skills of Aviation technology and maintenance. In addition, Rosa completed her high school co-op at Crosswind Aviation, a flight school located in London, ON. Ever since joining the Air Cadets, her interest for aviation and love of being around aircrafts grew. Rosa will certainly continue to pursue a future career in the aviation sector. Emily is currently a student at Georgian College studying Aviation Management. For as long as she can remember, Emily has always had a passion for aviation. She hopes to one day earn her Master's Degree in Aviation Management from Griffith University and then pursue her dream of becoming an Air Traffic Controller. Outside of school, Emily is a lifeguard and enjoys traveling to new places around the world.
