AIRPORT MARKETING & COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP

IAAE Canada will host a two and a half (2.5) day workshop on Airport Marketing and Commercial Development. The facilitator/instructor will be Warren Thompson, A.A.E. of Stantec Consulting Ltd. There is limited seating available and registration is accepted on a first-come first-served basis.
Who Should Attend
This workshop is of value to the airport manager, business development managers, marketing managers and those involved in land development, retail and concession promotion and development and parking and ground transportation. Day one and two sessions will begin at 8:15 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. Day three will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will end at noon. There will be an optional tour of the Edmonton International Airport and its new terminal expansion and facilities upgrades at 1:30 pm on Thursday afternoon.
Airports in Canada and worldwide have gone through significant changes in the past 15 years. There have been significant changes in the way we do business at an airport. With this shift in focus for airports, how do we deal with the challenges of balancing the regulatory requirements and growing the business with a client-focused approach? This workshop will cover the evolving role of airport commercialization and the elements associated with an airport marketing program. Time will be dedicated to your latest marketing challenge as well as a case study. Customer service issues will be included in the discussions. The many marketing challenges and current issues will be explored through training, group discussions and networking, with reference to industry best practices in the supplementary materials.
