INF207 Airports 101: An Intro to Canadian Airfield Operations

Subject Matter Expert: Barry Feller

Course Objectives:

Airfield operations are the prime reason why airports exist. Airports provide the infrastructure to allow aircraft to operate safely and securely. Airport operations staff are rigorously trained and perform a variety of roles to ensure the safe and coordinated operation of all types of aircraft. The airport operator must ensure that responsibilities and procedures are outlined and well-defined for airport and airline staff as well as military, general aviation, and Nav Canada.

This course will familiarize you with the key aspects of an effective airfield operational program and will discuss the roles and responsibilities of the Airport Operator, Transport Canada, Nav Canada, Airlines, and General Aviation in airfield operations.
