Course Description:  This two day training session will cover the basics of implementing a Quality Assurance Program as part of a Safety Management System in an airport environment. Participants will learn the regulatory requirements and how to implement a system that meets or exceeds them. It will allow for airport personnel with little to no auditing experience to learn how to conduct an internal audit and address the resulting corrective actions, or for more experienced auditors to pick up some nuances that may improve their auditing effectiveness. This course will also introduce concepts of system design to allow for trending and continuous improvement in processes.

Course Topics:
♦ Prepare airport personnel to take on internal auditor duties ♦ Gain a thorough knowledge of quality assurance terminology and processes ♦ Understand the regulations that govern quality assurance for airports ♦ Educate airport managers on how to respond to audit non-conformances and implement corrective actions ♦ Identify best practices for auditing and corrective action ♦ Recognize trends through audits ♦ Apply principles of continuous improvement
