The Accreditation Programs
Obtaining an IAAEC designation is a great way to command respect in the airport industry. Since 1994, IAAEC has been committed to the advancement of aviation professionals by granting certified designations to individuals who demonstrate an ability to handle the challenges and responsibilities of airport management.
The program is open to members of IAAEC and there are two streams: 1) The Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) is for current airport personnel with at least 1 year of airport management experience; while 2) the Accredited Airport Professional (A.A.P) is available to aviation industry personnel with a minimum 1 years’ experience.
The Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) and the Accredited Airport Professional (A.A.P) are useful qualifications when seeking employment as airport or aviation management professionals.
Enrolment is $300 and there is a 3-year time limit for program completion. If the time -limit passes and you wish to resume your program studies at a later date, you will need to enroll again and pay the enrollment fee.
Candidates in the A.A.E. or A.A.P programs obtain their designation by completing a three step process - the requirements differ for each designation but the first step for both is the 150-question, multiple-choice examination.
IAAEC offers a 1-week Accreditation Academy for enrolled candidates to prepare for and write the multiple-choice exam.
