When you see the letters C.M., A.A.E. or A.A.P. following someone's name, they represent nationally recognized professional credentials earned through the IAAE Canada Accreditation Program. They signify a commitment to professional excellence, lifelong learning and advancing Canada's airport industry.

The Certified Member (C.M.) credential recognizes individuals who have successfully completed the first step on the accreditation journey by passing the comprehensive Certified Member examination. In doing so, they have demonstrated a strong understanding of the IAAE Canada Accreditation Body of Knowledge, which encompasses the core competencies required of today's airport professionals and serves as the foundation for earning an accredited designation.

Building on the C.M. credential, the Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) designation is awarded to professionals employed by an airport or airport authority, while the Accredited Airport Professional (A.A.P.) designation is awarded to professionals working for organizations that serve Canada's airport industry. To earn either designation, candidates must also successfully complete a written requirement and a final interview before the IAAE Canada Board of Examiners, demonstrating not only mastery of the Accreditation Body of Knowledge, but also the ability to apply that knowledge in real-world airport environments.

Comparable to a fourth-year university academic level, these credentials recognize professionals who have demonstrated the knowledge, leadership and commitment required to excel in Canada's airport industry.
